Frankenstein

The College Preparatory School

Stage Manager, Head Carpenter, Lighting Technician

In this production of Frankenstein my senior year, I was the stage manager and co-head carpenter of a tech team of 30 students. I built the 20-foot ramp, created metal fixtures, painted, and had a hand in nearly every part of the set, as well as hanging lights as directed by the lighting designer. I learned how to use a hacksaw, a router, how to set up scaffolding, how to properly hang lights, and how to use QLab. In addition to using my previous carpentry knowledge, I trained other students in the chopsaw and tablesaw, as well as how to operate basic tools. As the stage manager, I called more than 100 light, sound, and projection cues total for each show.
